Passion with purpose.

Through heart and science, we unlock human potential by removing obstacles to emotional, mental and physical wellbeing in ways never seen before.

WHO WE ARE

Say hello to Humankind.

Say hello to Humankind. We're here to transform the quality of life of your workforce by supporting those who struggle with daily stress, health challenges, and meeting basic needs. Instead of waiting for people to ask for help, we call them and offer it.

The results are powerful: lives saved, improved quality of life, and workforce transformation.

FOUNDED IN GENUINE CARE

“All it takes is one phone call and an opportunity to help solve a problem that matters to the human on the other end. We’re unwilling to sit by and wait for people to get sicker.”

THE VALUES OF HUMANKIND

Our values are the HEART of our experience.

  • When the world says “give up”, we say “try one more time.”

We bring hope to places where it may have ceased to exist. We do this unbidden and with compassion. Our obstacles are apathy, anger, cynicism, and despair. Our strengths are knowledge, empathy, fearlessness, and an abundance mindset.

  • It’s at the core of everything we do.

Empathy is our superpower. Our secret sauce. We are at our most useful, our most powerful, our most helpful, when we can be quiet, listen, and respond emotionally to someone else’s situation. Moving from a place of “self” to “other-centered” is the key to finding the quiet slipstream that is empathy. Empathy combined with action is a boundless resource.

  • We understand the root cause and do the next right thing.

With knowledge comes moral responsibility. At Humankind, we have certainty about three things:

    • Poor mental/behavioral health is the most common root cause of physical illness.

    • The appropriate treatment for behavioral health is rare and always delayed.

    • Behavioral health conditions are treatable, and remission is possible.

It is incumbent upon us to act quickly. For Humankind employees, action is a foundational moral imperative.

  • Because the status quo will never be good enough.

“Never accept the status quo” is a founding principle of Humankind. The status quo is waiting for things to get worse. Most people will wait 11 years before their symptoms get bad enough - and the resulting physical ailments crippling enough - that the system can apply an acute care model to a chronic illness. The problem is that “care” consistently generates poor outcomes. Sad, true, and beyond unacceptable. The only acceptable emotional and behavioral stance at Humankind is raising the bar in everything we do.

  • Our foundation. Nothing is possible without it.

Our greatest earned accolade is the trust of those we serve: our colleagues, employer partners, our vendor partners, and the individuals and families that we work with. Earning their trust is a privilege that we will never take for granted.
